Elle Marsyla and Jenni Farrell's Charity Climb of
Mt. Kilimanjaro in June 2017!

One Charity Climb Benefitting Two Amazing Non-Profits:

Mercado Global in Guatemala and The Olmoti Clinic in Tanzania

Please consider donating to Mercado Global via sponsorship donations of a charity climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,340 ft). by mother/daughter pair, Elle Marsyla and Jenni Farrell.  All sponsorship donations benefit PV Changemaker's chosen charity,  Mercado Global.

Additionally, the Farrell/Marsyla family will match all funds raised (up to $2500) for the Olmoti Clinic - a  Maasai health & education center that the family will visit after their climb.  The Olmoti Clinic was founded in 2010 by Dr. Diane Raleigh, a Woodside resident and former Peace Corps volunteer.  The clinic provides life-changing healthcare for the Maasai people who live on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.

So your sponsorship will benefit two amazing non-profits on either side of our world.   We think that's cool!

About the climbers:

Jenni Farrell, is a retired tech professional, mom of 2 wonderful daughters, and volunteer on the Portola Valley School's Foundation board.  A Woodside native,  Jenni has experience hiking at high altitude including summiting Mt. Shasta (14,179 ft) in 1999, trekking the Everest Khumbu region in 2000,  and summiting Mt. Whitney (14,500 ft) in 2016.

Elle is a 7th grader at Corte Madera school.  She summited Mt. Whitney in 2016, and is a distance runner with Woodside Wildebeests Running Club.

Their goal is to be in top shape by June 13th, 2017, the day they fly to Africa. They will start their hike up Kilimanjaro on June 17th, and the hike takes 8 days.

Sponsorships will be a flat donation for the climb.  If Elle and Jenni make it to the top, they'll take a photo at the Kilimanjaro summit sign holding a poster with the names of all the people that sponsored them!   If they don't, they'll keep the sponsors in their hearts as they go as far as they can!   Safety is their top priority.   Your donation is tax deductible, and you will receive a donation receipt from Mercado Global in the mail.
